Group Dinner Idea: Taco Bar

group dinner idea taco bar 1

“To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

… I would personally also add to have participated in Taco Tuesday often to my definition of success, but that’s just me. Because is there really anything better than those little tortillas bursting with bright veggies, spiced meat, creamy cheese and sour cream, rich beans, flavorful rice, refreshing lime?! There are a few things, my friends, but not many. The final installment of May’s weekly group dinner idea is a taco and margarita night. This is almost so easy to pull off it’s concerning — but who has time to be concerned when on their second (or third) round of tacos. Have each of your friends bring an item or two from the list below, pass the guacamole, and enjoy:

Jeremiah and I had shrimp tacos on Monday — our favorite “home” meal together so far. (We caramelized onions, then added the shrimp, garlic, and cilantro. And added feta cheese, avocado, tomato, and fresh lime juice. Plus black beans with cumin on the side. Holler.)
