Sprint Triathlon Training: Week 9

sprint triathlon training week 9

Hi all; I hope you had a wonderful start to summer this past weekend! We’ve officially got one month left of training, and if you’re like me, new music can do wonders for stamina and enjoyment levels on these longer workouts. I recruited a few of my best girlfriends (including this gal) to provide a few of their favorites for a cardio playlist full of upbeat, energizing songs to get us through these last few weeks. Here they are, if you’re in need of a few songs:

1. Problem (Ariana Grande, Iggy Azalea)
2. Victory Lap (Macklemore & Ryan Lewis)
3. Partition (Beyonce)
4. Wild Wild Love (Pitbull, G.R.I.)
5. Hold On, We’re Going Home (Drake)
6. All of Me – dance version (John Legend)
7. Money On My Mind (Sam Smith)
8. Everybody Talks (Neon Trees)
9. Latch (Disclosure, Sam Smith)
10. Marry Me (Jason Derulo)
11. Pompeii (Bastille)
12. Magic (B.O.B.)
13. Wake Me Up (Avicii)
14. The Show Goes On (Lupe Fiasco)
15. On the Run (Jay-Z and Beyonce)
16. Ain’t It Fun (Paramore)
17. Battle Cry (Angel Haze, Sia)
18. Not A Bad Thing (Justin Timberlake)
19. Kids (MGMT)
20. Safe and Sound (Capital Cities)

This week’s training schedule:

Monday: Rest
Tuesday: Swim 500 yards, Run 3o minutes
Wednesday: Bike 15 miles
Thursday: Swim 600 yards, Walk 45 minutes
Friday: Swim 500 yards

P.S. Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4, Week 5, Week 6, Week 7 and Week 8.

P.S.S. For slower songs, check out a few of my other faves.

Some great trackers – thanks for the share – popped them on my iPod – will be great for running / turbo training with – will inspire me on (:

A few I’m listening to at the moment to share back:

Mystic Sunset (DJ Marky & S.P.Y)

You And I – Pete Herbert Remix (Tony Betties)

    Incident (Miyagi) – Jori Huikkonen

Slower number – It don’t matter (Donovan Frankenreiter)

Hope you have fab week of training – bit of swim / bike for me. Liked your kayak photos – looked like a great day out – imagine the ducklings were very cute (lovely image). No waves for me but lots of swimming in sea and a bit of hill top yoga.

    J.
