Yesterday I recapped the small changes I made in January. For February, I am going to continue to add a few more baby steps in each area of my life…
Body: Drink lemon water every morning
I wrote a little bit about this last month, but I’d really like it to become a habit. Lemon water has a whole host of health benefits, from reducing inflammation to hydrating, providing vitamins and minerals, aiding digesting, and cleansing blood vessels and arteries. Not bad for a little yellow fruit, huh? Since I like the comfort of starting my day with a hot beverage (like coffee or tea) I’m going to warm up a mug of lemon water and sip as I get ready for work each morning.
Relationships: Send cards to loved ones
I’m always so impressed by friends who routinely mail cards for holidays or send thank-you notes and gifts in the mail. I used to be one of them, but the last few years I’ve majorly fallen off of the wagon. Since Valentine’s Day is coming up, it’s the perfect month to get into the practice of sending little notes again.
Soul: Free-write for 10 minutes a day
Between work and this blog, I write a LOT. But it’s rarely just an ad libbed free-for-all about what I’m thinking or feeling, and after seeing how beneficial defining an intention for the day was, I think I could really benefit from just letting my thoughts flow for a few minutes on paper each day.
